DUB Magazine’s LFTD & LVLD 2014 Premiere issue featured A.R.E. Accessories’ Wounded Warrior Project 2014 Chevy Silverado. Wounded Warrior Project, a veteran’s service organization, asked A.R.E. if they would build a vehicle for them to raise awareness of the Project and the vets to whom they provide assistance.
A.R.E. collected all the parts, loaded them up in the truck and when to Trent’s Trick Upholstery in Baltimore, OH, where Trent Van Arsdalen, a noted builder and SEMA Show award winner, did the build. Starting with an Airaid cold air intake, Trent then added a 7” Skyjacker lift, 37 X 13.50R20LT Toyo Open Country M/T tires, and 20” BMF Novakane wheels, with Hellwig sway bars and a Magnaflow exhaust system.
An A.R.E. Z-Series truck cap, AutoHome USA roof top tent, N-Fab nerf steps and bumpers, a Yakima roof rack, and Rigid Industries LED Lights were among the exterior additions. Aaron Lynch of Lynch Concepts applied the Axalta Coating Systems paint, before Van Arsdalen finished off the interior with Kicker speakers and amps and a BedRug carpeted bed liner.
Contributing to a show-worthy vehicle that draws attention to the Wounded Warrior Project, A.R.E. and all the other companies involved should be proud for stepping up to help veterans receive the assistance that they need.
