Rigid Torture Team Member Joe Sylvester Looks Ahead to an Exciting 2014

Joe Sylvester, Torture Team member and owner and driver of the Rigid Industries LED Lighting BAD HABIT Monster Truck and the #8 Pro Light TORC truck, provided this monthly update on his motorsports team:

JoeS-Post-1The year 2014 will feature some big changes at Joe Sylvester Motorsports. With the expansion of our team into short course off road racing in the Torc Series and the new partnership with 2Xtreme racing for the Bad Habit Monster truck, this season is keeping me on my toes already.

Last weekend, the Rigid Industries, KMC Wheels Bad Habit Monster Truck thrilled Monster Jam fans in Sacramento with three performances. It was a good outing for my first time ever driving the 2Xtreme Racing truck as I won freestyle the first night and went to the racing finals on Saturday night.

This past weekend, we got to tear up the floor of Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ for 45,000 crazed fans. It was awesome to perform in front of a sold out crowd and in front of all the folks from Rigid Industries. It was also really awesome to display the monster truck at the Rigid Industries’ main offices and manufacturing facility in Gilbert, Arizona.

It was definitely cool to see how the world’s brightest LED lights are made right here in the USA. The fans at the Monster Jam pit party were great, and the new XD Series Rockstar 2 wheels received a great deal attention. Our Truckin 4 Troops decal stirred up a lot of great conversations with some veterans that were there to watch us perform as well.

JoeS-Post-2Next weekend, we will once again be performing in a big event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX. This will be my sixth time at this venue, and every weekend I am getting a little more comfortable in the new truck. So look for my bright orange truck to be lighting up the place and flying high!

I want to send a huge thanks to our 2014 partners: Rigid Industries, KMC Wheels XD Series, Truckin 4 Troops, Lincoln Welders Monster Hooks, Ripped Vinyl, Oakley, GoPro, K&N Filters, Mahle, Clevite, Pyrotect, Rock Racing Batteries, FK Rod Ends, CCE Hydraulics, Capital Powder Coating, Sylvester Construction, and Komar Plumbing.
