Rigid Racers Stand Tall at the Battle at Primm

2013 & 2014 Battle of Primm Champion Justin Davis

Rigid Industries Torture Team members Justin Davis and Brandon Arthur finished first and second at the SNORE (Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts) Battle at Primm, a two-day race that was held from Feb. 21 – 23.

Justin Davis of Green Army Motorsports was indeed ready for battle as he won first place in Class 1, Unlimited Truck (SCORE Trophy Truck), finishing the two days of racing with a time of 02:04:25. Justin went back-to-back as he was the 2013 Battle of Primm Champion as well.

Justin’s success continued throughout the weekend in Primm as he also finished second in Class 15 and third in Class 10.

Returning to Trophy Truck racing after a bad crash last year, Brandon Arthur, the 18-year old racing phenom, placed second overall in Unlimited Truck. Brandon finished with an official time just five minutes behind Justin at 02:09:29.

Held about 30 miles south of Las Vegas, the first race of SNORE’s 2014 season in Primm featured a field of close to 300 entries.

With a lack of wind and significant dust, the rugged two-day competition was difficult for most drivers to race at a fast, steady pace. Water trucks were utilized throughout the weekend by race officials, but dust clouds hung in the air throughout many sections of the Primm course.

The “Battle” portion of the race’s name was well earned as multiple crashes occurred, and yellow and red flags were waved throughout the weekend.

SNORE, the oldest sanctioned off-road racing organization in the world, is entering its 45th year of racing, and this season will feature six races in total. The remaining schedule includes:

  • Ridgecrest 300, April 12 – 13 (Ridgecrest, CA)
  • Cedar City Grand Prix, May 30 – 31 (Cedar City, UT)
  • Midnight Special, Sept. 20 – 21 (Johnson Valley, CA)
  • SNORE 250, Nov. 1 – 2 (Jean, NV)
  • Rage At The River, Dec. 12 – 14 (Laughlin, NV)

Rigid Nation would like to send it congratulations to Justin and Brandon for a highly successful weekend of racing!
