SCORE International, the off-road sanctioning body of desert racing, will kick off its 41st season of racing with the San Felipe 250 from Feb. 27 – March 2.
Founded in 1973, SCORE is most famous for its flagship event, the Baja 1000, which will be held this year from Nov. 12 – 16 on Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
The five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship series starts in Mexico for the 28th running of the San Felipe 250. Over 200 drivers from over 20 states and 10 countries are expected to race the course located 125 miles south of the U.S. border on the east side of the Baja California peninsula. The event features 35 Pro and 6 Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs. The race will be televised on the CBS Sports Network as a one-hour special one month following the event.
