Supercross Legend Jeremy McGrath Joins the Rigid Industries Torture Team

Jeremy McGrath, seven-time AMA Supercross Champion turned professional off-road truck racer, joins the Rigid Industries LED Lighting team of sponsored athletes.

Rigid Industries LED Lighting®, a world leader in forward-projecting LED lighting solutions for powersports, off-road, marine,  construction and multiple other uses, announces Jeremy McGrath Motorsports as the latest addition to its “Torture Team” of athletes.  He debuted this year as driver and owner of the number 2 PRO 2 truck in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS), a highly competitive short course off road racing series.

Regarded as the best Supercross racer of all time, Jeremy McGrath is a legend when it comes to racing on dirt with two wheels. During his Supercross career, McGrath collected 72 race wins and seven overall season championships while helping place the sport into the mainstream. Not only was McGrath one of the most popular champions in the history of dirt motorcycle racing, his tricks during jumps on the race track helped spawn the sport of freestyle motocross that can now be seen as part of the ESPN X-Games, Gravity Games and other similar events.

Since retiring from Supercross, McGrath has turned his competitive fire to off-road truck racing as he is now one of the top drivers in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) PRO 2 Unlimited Class (full-sized, 2-wheel drive race trucks).   Most recently, he earned his highest finish of the season with a 2ndplace and captured the fasted lap of the night in Round 10 of the LOORRS series at Glen Helen in Southern California. This is a huge step in the right direction for Jeremy McGrath Motorsports and Jeremy is extremely motivated for bigger and better things!

“I am very happy with a second place tonight, the team has been working hard and this will give us great momentum heading into Reno. It’s great to get the fastest lap award of the night too. I am getting a good feel for the truck and am ready to do it again!” said McGrath after his podium finish at Glen Helen.

Taylor Anderson, VP of Marketing for Rigid Industries added, “Jeremy is a successful adrenaline athlete with tons of history and with his recent success at Glen Helen in the LOORRS series, we couldn’t be more proud to have him on board and as a member of the Rigid Industries Torture Team. We see the beginning of a long lasting relationship with him and couldn’t be more excited!”

As part of the partnership, McGrath will run Rigid LED Lighting and his truck will also display the Rigid Industries signature star emblem, often recognized in the dirt and desert racing worlds.
