Check out Rigid Industries Install Video below with helpful information and tips as well as step-by-step instructions for installing the Rigid SR-Q Backup Light Kit.
Important – Rigid Industries highly recommends using a certified professional to install and wire your lights.
Remember – Only install lights on a flat surface. Always disconnect your battery before working with fuses or your electrical system.
Step # 1 – Choose a location for your Rigid Industries Backup Light and begin masking off the nearby areas with Painters Tape.
Step # 2 – Cut off the supplied Mounting Template and attach it to your vehicle. Use a sharpie to trace the cut out area in the inner part of the Mounting Template.
Step #3 – Using a Power Drill, drill 2 (two) quarter inch holes on both sides of the mounting templates. After both mounting holes are drilled remove the mounting template and drill another quarter inch pilot hole anywhere inside the marked off area.
Step #4 – Plasma Cutter, Dremel, Air Saw or cutting torch to remove the marked metal. Use a Grinder or File to smooth the edges of the cut out area.
Step # 5 – Slide your Rigid SR-Q Backup Light into place and use the screws and nuts provided to secure your light. Remove the safety tape and repeat the steps for the second Rigid SR-Q Backup Light.
