Iconic Urban Assault
StreetTrucks, December, 2014 Feature – ‘Iconic Urban Assault’ 2010 Toyota Tundra
Jesus Aguiniga’s vision of the ultimate urban assault vehicle began with a 7” BDS Suspension lift kit with Atlas leaf springs, Airlift airbags, Fox coil overs and shocks, a Hellwig rear sway bar, Nitro 4.88 gears, Air Zenith compressors and a combination of TRD, Stop Tech and EBC brakes. 20X12 gloss black Moto Metal 962 wheels and 37X13.5-20 Toyo M/T tires finished up the suspension.
To the 2010 Toyota Tundra’s V-8, Jesus added an Airaid intake, power programmer, DC Power alternator, Doug Thorley ceramic-coated headers, a Gryphon Mobile/Easy Go push start, and a Magnaflow exhaust system.
The full urban camo paint scheme was designed and applied by Matt Hutchenson, in House of Kolor Gunmetal Gray, Silver and Black. Line-X body armor, an All Wired Gravel Empire grille, Fab Four bumpers, and an S.M.P. Fab Works roof rack all provided great places in which to mount an array of Rigid Industries LED lights. AMP Research Power Steps, Bushwacker pocket style fender flares, a Bedrug kit, A.R.E. fiberglass truck cap, Decked storage system and a Bedslide cargo combination were all a part of this over-the-top Tundra.
Aguiniga has much to be thankful for, and hopefully his Tundra is truly symbolic of much more than a truck with no supplier left behind.
