In the Truckin’Magazine, August 2014 Feature Story, Cody Elkins’ 2014 Toyota Tundra “Gallium” is featured.
Weatherford, Oklahoma’s Cody Elkins Designs, and its owner, Cody, knows trucks. Having had a number of cover-quality vehicles since their inception in 2012, this time around, they started with a 2014 Toyota Tundra, because they are unique and you don’t see many that are modified.
3rd Coast Suspension’s 14” lift kit, with Fox coilovers in the front and their four-link in back, ensured 40X15.50R24LT Toyo Open Country M/Ts, with 24X14 American Force Evade FP5 wheels had plenty of clearance. This setup makes the Tundra tall enough so the AMP Research power running boards are a necessity for getting in or out.
Next, Houston, Texas’ Pixelwerks Media put a silver-bronze-tungsten metallic aluminum wrap on the Toyota. Racemesh Trucks then made a custom grille, hood insert, bumper insert and fog light covers, some of which cover the 10” Rigid Industries LED Lights Elkins employed. Two 40” Rigid Industries LED light bars, two 20” Rigid Industries LED Light barsand four Dually LED Lights makes sure there’s no question about visibility. In the back, another pair of Rigid Industries Dually LED lights are inserted in the bumper with Racemesh covers, an Undercover Lux tonneau cover, and a Bulletliner spray-in bedliner beneath it.
Inside, Alea Leather Platini series quilted leather seat covers were installed by Weatherford’s Solar Ray’s, along with a matching dash cover, Racemesh A/C vent covers and an underseat enclosure for the Kicker subs. Kicker amps, mids and tweeters were used throughout, and WeatherTech mats keep it all clean.
There may not be many Tundras customized to this high level, but you can be sure Elkins’ ride is going to inspire others to build their Toyotas to look like his.
